Bill Duckworth and Paul Hartley are developing the idea of the Maker Space for Witney, but we need the experience and skills of others to help take the idea forward and turn it into reality.
Paul Hartley
I have had a very varied career to date, working as film projectionist/techncian for EMI and the BBC, as a media specialist for the Media Resource Centre University of Natal, the South African Clothing and Textile Workers Union and The SACHED Trust an education and development ngo in South Africa. On returning from South Africa in 1995 I completed an MSc in Organisation Development at Sheffield Business School and went on to work for the Probation Service in Offending Behaviour Programmes and then for charities working in alcohol and drug addiction recovery.
Until recently I was working as Recovery Worker and Groupwork Facilitator for Turning Point in Oxfordshire.
I am now retired and using my time and energy to develop a Maker Space, volunteer at Witney Museum and learn more about photography with the Witney Photo Group and the Royal Photographic Society.
Bill Duckworth
I completed an apprenticeship in Printing at the Oxford University Press, graduating in graphic art/illustration, typography etc. Following early retirement I went into Gardening/Property Maintenance for several years. I am now fully retired but continue to volunteer for Witney Foodbank 0ccasionally and also continue with my hobbies in art and music.
